Dakota Thomas, LPC-MHSP

Dakota Thomas, LPC-MHSP earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mississippi College and his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University. He serves as the Team Lead for the Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at ABHS and is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences and concerns.

Dakota takes an individualized approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based techniques and therapeutic modalities to best meet each client’s unique needs. His areas of interest include depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ concerns, eating disorders, grief, and adjustment-related challenges.

Dakota is committed to helping clients build insight, develop effective coping skills, and move toward meaningful growth and healing.
