TCAPES
Tennessee Child Access to Psychiatric and Enhanced Services
A Free Behavioral Health Consultation Program for Pediatric Providers in Middle Tennessee

TCAPES (Tennessee Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Education and Support) is a grant-funded program from the Tennessee Department of Health that offers free same-day psychiatry phone consultations, behavioral health training, and help connecting pediatric providers with local mental health resources.

ABHS is the regional provider for Middle Tennessee and is proud to support pediatric primary care providers in meeting the growing behavioral health needs of children and teens —especially in areas where mental health specialists are hard to find.

TCAPES Offers
✅ Free Same-Day Psychiatric Consultations
✅ Expert Guidance from Licensed Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs)
✅ Training on Screening, Diagnosing, and Managing Behavioral Health Conditions
✅ Referrals to Local Mental Health Services and Community Resources
✅ Support for Medication Management and Treatment Planning
The TCAPES consult line is a provider-to-provider consultation line. It is not for patients or families.
