Child & Adolescent Therapy
Growing up isn’t always easy — and neither is parenting.
Kids and teens today face a lot. School, friendships, family changes, and big emotions can all feel overwhelming. Some children may also struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or the effects of trauma.
At ABHS, we meet children and teens where they are.
Therapy may look different depending on your child’s age and needs. Some children feel most comfortable with caregivers nearby. Others — especially teens — may need space to talk on their own. Either way, caregivers are always part of the process.
Our goal is to help children feel safe, build confidence, and learn healthy ways to handle life’s challenges.
If your child needs more support than weekly therapy, our Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)Â offers a higher level of care with more structure and connection.
Note for families:Â In Tennessee, teens age 16 and older can make their own mental health decisions. If your teen is 16+, they will need to contact our office directly to begin services.
