Chaylia Salandy, MSW, earned her Master of Social Work from Tennessee State University after relocating to Nashville from Huntsville, Alabama in 2019. She completed her undergraduate studies at Alabama A&M University, where she developed a strong foundation in community engagement and advocacy. Chaylia’s work is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach that prioritizes both empowerment and practical skill-building.
Chaylia specializes in working with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and substance use. In therapy, she utilizes evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based approaches.
She is committed to creating a supportive and empowering therapeutic space where clients feel safe to heal, challenged to grow, and equipped with practical tools for lasting change. Chaylia sees clients in person at the Smyrna location and via telehealth.
